New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Miami Heat traded the draft rights to
forward Latavious Williams to the Oklahoma City Thunder during Thursday
night's draft.
Williams was chosen in the second round, 48th overall. The Heat get a 2011
protected second-round pick in return.
The 16th overall pick in the NBA's Developmental League Draft, Williams became
the first player to ever go straight from high school to the D-League when he
joined the Tulsa 66ers. He was also the first player to be drafted from the D-
League in the NBA Draft.
Williams averaged just 5.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in just under 18
minutes per outing with Tulsa.
