Switzerland, Bulgaria and Montenegro were also drawn in Group G alongside England and Wales ahead of the tournament in Poland and Ukraine. England last played Wales in a World Cup qualifier in Cardiff five years ago with the Three Lions running out 1-0 winners. "I think the worst groups were group A and group G and we got group G," said England coach Fabio Capello after the draw in Warsaw. "It's a tough group because each game will be strong games to play." Capello also refused to answer questions on John Terry following his decision to strip the Chelsea defender of the international captaincy in the wake of the lurid allegations about his private life. Meanwhile, Scotland have been handed a tough test after being drawn in a group which also contains holders Spain and the Czech Republic. The Republic of Ireland have been drawn in Russia's group, while Northern Ireland must face reigning world champions Italy. The qualifying games will begin in September and the nine group winners will all progress to the finals alongside the runners-up with the best records. Even though the defending champion Heat are currently on the playoff making cusp, they are the Eastern Conference team that is getting the most action to win it all (9-1). The fact that Shaquille O’Neal is back in the starting lineup after missing 39 games probably has something to do with this. No doubt, Shaq makes a difference when in the lineup as their winning six out of their last seven would indicate.
