Bills hope to put offensive dysfunction in past

08/11/2010 - PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) -For receiver Lee Evans, dysfunctional doesn't come close to describing how bad the Buffalo Bills' offense was last season. Saying it ``was pretty much as bad as it gets,'' Evans is hoping the Bills can get off to a fresh start Friday, when they open the preseason at Washington. Evans is buoyed by the arrival of head coach Chan Gailey, who took over in January after Dick Jauron was fired midway through last season. Gailey has an offensive background and a reputation for devising a plan that works to the strengths of his personnel. Anything Gailey installs should be better than how the Bills performed last year in finishing 30th in yards gained.
