solo home run to Chris Young among four hits in six full frames. He did match
a career-high with 10 strikeouts.
The defeat extended San Diego's season-high losing streak to seven games. The
National League West-leading Padres began the day four games ahead of second-
place San Francisco. The Giants host Colorado later Wednesday.
